The BuildHERS Club is on a mission to build up the next generation of skilled trades professionals. The construction industry is facing a workforce shortage.
In 2026 alone, the industry needs to attract 349,000 new workers to meet demand. Most of that need isn't from growth. It's from replacing experienced workers who are retiring.
The challenge is only growing. Roughly 1 in 5 construction workers is over the age of 55, and an estimated 41% of today's construction workforce is expected to retire by 2031. Only about 10% of construction workers are under 25 years old, creating a significant gap in the talent pipeline.
Women represent just 11.2% of the construction workforce, despite reaching the highest participation rate the industry has seen in decades.
That's why BuildHERS Club exists. Through mentorship, education, and honest conversations, we're helping young people discover opportunities in the trades and showing them that there is a place for them in every corner of the construction industry.
The future of construction depends on who we inspire today.
Our mission
Dallas Fort-Worth Trade Schools
BuildHERS Club is focused on strengthening the future workforce in the Dallas–Fort Worth area by investing in the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
